Leadership & Administration
Assistant PrincipalI have been at Chirnside Park for 8 years and I love every minute of it. In my role I am still able to engage with the students on a regular basis.
I have three children, two sons and a daughter and three beautiful grandchildren. I enjoy fishing, eating out with friends, spending time with the family and travelling.
Business ManagerChirnside Park Primary School is a wonderful place to work. Every staff member is part of a team with similar values and goals and we all take great pride in the job we do.
I am married with two children and have a nine month old granddaughter. I enjoy spending time with my family, eating out, going to the movies and travelling.
Grade Prep Teachers
I am a Prep Teacher at Chirnside Park Primary School. Prep is a huge growth year and I love watching the new little students mature and develop into independent learners, while learning to read and write. My classroom is full of singing, games and lots of laughs. I love going away in our caravan with my husband and three children and walking our dog Yuki along the beach.
Teaching Prep at Chirnside Park Primary is an extremely rewarding experience. I feel privileged to have a job which puts a smile on my face every day. I love getting to know each child as an individual learner and watching them grow throughout the year. I work with the school community really closely to ensure all of my students are achieving their personal best and that parents are involved in their child’s learning journey. Outside of

Grade 1/2 TeacherTeaching Grade 1/2 is very rewarding particularly seeing the children grow and gain independence. I enjoy making a difference in the lives of the children I teach at CPPS. Out of school I love being with my family and taking my kids to their sports and activities. A good book and the need for holiday is never far away either!

Outside of school, I love spending my time dancing. This has made me keen to integrate music and movement within the classroom, as the students often love the opportunity to learn in creative ways.

My name is Selena Poulter and I am a new teacher this year at Chirnside Park Primary School. I have been teaching over thirteen years and love to watch students reach their full potential and strive to achieve their very best. In my spare time, I love to cook, travel and go on beach walks with my husband.

I really love teaching and supporting the Year 5/6 students to grow as citizens by providing great programs to help them transition smoothly into high school. At home I love working with our animals and gardening on our hobby farm as well as spending time with my family.
Teaching Auslan will be an exciting experience for our whole school community. As well as learning sign language this program aims to encourage students to be more empathetic and respectful of others. Outside of school, I love to travel, spend time at the beach and read a good book.
Children’s Art is my passion. Seeing them excited to creatively express themselves brings me great joy. The quality of work produced is a highlight, as is displaying it around the school. I love to help each student understand the importance of art and discover that art is a process, not just a product. When I’m not creating experiences for our students I love to visit Art galleries, go to live theatre and barrack for the Eagles football team.

Teacher's AideI love the supportive, friendly community within the school and being apart of a grade 1/2 class. Outside of the school, I am kept busy as Mum to 2 children and escaping on family get aways.
I’m really enjoying working with the Grade 1/2 class this year as a Teacher Aide. I am a mum of 3 daughters who are growing up way too fast, and live close to the Chirnside community. My days are filled with after school sports and outdoor time with my family. I enjoy the beach, camping and jigsaw puzzles.
I am an Integration Aide. I get great satisfaction when the penny drops and I’ve helped the student understand. The school is very supportive of my work. I enjoy traveling, meeting people and learning new things.
Forming special bonds and watching the students faces light up when you help them achieve a milestone they never thought they could is why I love my job as an Integration Aide so much.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and two beautiful boys, baking, cake decorating and walks on the beach.
I love coming to work each day and watching the proud smiles on children’s faces as they accomplish a task and pass a new milestone.

The name Rudrā is one of 1008 names of the Hindu deity Shiva and the word Akśa means tears in Sanskrit. After 1000 years of meditation tears began to fall from the eyes of Shiva in compassion for mankind, the tears became the Rudraksha Tree.
Mother Nature, in all her wisdom, provides us with everything we need to grow and thrive. The sounds made by the natural world are there to help tune the body to the frequency of the earth, the planets and the stars.
The ‘Star Breathing Chart’ is a great activity to practice when feelings and emotions get a little hairy and thinking is a bit blurry.
the ghost Bat may look a little bit odd with his super-sized ears, and curios shaped nose but he is still an adorable creature to behold and definitely worth a second look.
